I had no girlfriend, no job, no car, & no home going into Cheyenne. My 6th day there, HPD came to arrest me for a stolen vehicle they came across in the parking lot. I was sitting in the back of a cop car when a Cheyenne Center Counselor came out & TALKED THE POLICE OFFICER INTO LETTING ME STAY in treatment. That sure beat going to jail. Today, I have 2 girlfriends , 2 jobs, 2 cars, and 2 rental homes (and live in a townhome in Spring Branch). I went into a 30 day rehab program hoping to get just 1 of those things. I got way more than one could ask for. I am now a limo driver and construction worker. I attend 8373 Westview Club AA 11PM Candelight meetings. We stay out of problems by helping others. Keep your head up.

After 20+ years of trying to quit drinking and some very expensive treatment facilities it took me 4 months to complete a 30 day program here. Because that is what I needed to get the job done and they wouldn't settle for anything less. I have now been sober for 8 years. It works if you take advantage of the tools and help that is available. It isn't easy but the new life I live is beyond my wildest dreams. With the help of God, the Cheyenne center and AA I now live a normal productive life.

Stacy Kelly was My Counselor. I could not have asked for a better person. She was Understanding caring and most of all very passionate. My Fiance and I loved our family meetings and took alot out of our meetings. I have been out 2 months. And her words of wisdom will always be with me. Thank You Ms. Kelly

I brought my baby boy with me that I breast feed and asked the male staff where I could feed my baby and one told me to feed him in the bathroom. I wouldn't expect anyone to eat in the bathroom especially not a baby. The other gentleman obviously disagreed with his coworker because he opened the conference room for me. Thank you very much! Other than that friendly staff. Long wait till the class for the visit starts though.

Just like any other treatment center Cheyenne center has rules. Yes some of them suck, but they were put in place to give structure and build character. Yes some of the employees are only there to get a paycheck and have bad attitudes. But, there are those who are there who generally care about the clients. Just like any other treatment center it was not meant to be a vacation. If you go there with the attitude of trying to change everything and everyone but yourself you will fail Ted Cheyenne center cannot save or change your life but they can give you the tools to help you change your life. It is up to you to use the tools.
